Dear Grinch, 

I would like to catch up with you and talk about Christmas. The reason why i am writing this letter to you is to ask if you could change your mind and feelings about Christmas. I would really like if you would come and enjoy Christmas with us. We all love  getting  together with family and friends to sing laugh dance and enjoy each other company.We would all  be so happy to see you enjoying Christmas with us.

Symbols of my life

 These are symbols of my life.  I live in a big house with my family. Mum, Dad, Lachie and Isla.  I have lots of cousins and aunties and uncles.  My family are very important to me.  We live near browns beach.  I love going to the beach.  

 

Planting in the wetland

This week my Mum and I have worked in our wetland.We  planted 950 native trees and plants.  It was a very big job so I decided to help her.  She said she really appreciated my help.

 

Running

 Today I went for a run with my Mum.We went right up to the boundary and we took the dogs with us.

Cheese scones

 

 Today dad and I made some cheese scones.  We put the cheese inside them.They tasted crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle.They were so yummy.

Maori game

Today we made a game of maori and we had to write about when Captain Cook came.

Eating the pies

 Yesterday we ate pies what got chosen the were are apple crumble with  custard pie and a cheeseburger pie are fruit pie and a pasta pie and a egg and bacon pie and a venison pie.

I like the apple crumble pie. 

Making the filing

 Today we made Ethan burger pie it had chicken nuggets chips and burgers and the Nuggets took 5 minutes the new give it a  shake then  put it back in for another 5 minutes after that's done you get them out.Then we did the fries and they go in for 10 minutes each and after that we did the burgers and they go in for 15 minutes each and what we use to cook them with a air fryer and we put half of chips patties and nuggets and me and  Charlie were cutting all of the  stuff up and then  kaha was mixing all of  it after it was all mixed up we put sweet and sour sauce all over it.

Disco

On Friday the afternoon we went to the disco and we brewing a  little bit of money to take in and we talk our money are you to Fraser and Hoff and then I got a slushie and popcorn after that I got some pepperoni pizza and then I got a face paint but me Winston Ben and Sam restart light Cowboys and there was a DJand smoke machine I'm really colourful lights everywhere. 

Tasting herbs

    Today we tasted some herbs and there were 11                        different types of them. There names are rosemary 'thyme 'garlic 'chives 'mustard 'oregano                                  'parsley 'chilli-flakes'mint'sage'basil.That was all the herbs.

Diorama

  Last week we did dioramas and I painted my hole 

background green because I was doing a waterfall and I made a pond with rocks around the side and I

made a hobo stove and at the were the grass was.Then I put trees on the side of my diorama

and put sand were the green is and put water is the shoe paper and I painted it Blue.

When we went to the fisheries

     When we went to the fisheries we looked at the crayfish and there were big and small ones.But then Salve picked one of the crayfish and everyone had a touch and then we went to the Fraser and I went in it and it was very cold.

when we went to waihirere domain

                                                                                                               When we went to waihirere domain we went for a walk with Sam the trap-man   through the bush and he stopped and shod everyone what plants what you could eat  and poisonous plant what you can't eat.Then we got kawakawa leaves to make a kawakaw tea and we boiled the water on our hobo stoves and they were nice.    

Anzac writing

 

Today we did Anzac writing about soldiers who sacrifice their lives to keep the world peaceful and  without fighting.

My thinking
Poppy's	poppies  are to remember ancestors when they went to war and fort for their lives.We remember them on Anzac  Day and we will remember them we will
Guns	soldiers use their guns to kill and protect themselves and they shall not grow old they stay young.
Warships	Warships were used to help people when they were engines.
Soldiers	soldiers were the ones  who fort for  their lives and they never never never give up.
medal	Medals  are for the soldiers who  did really well in war and one of my teachers' students donated the medal.

and I really want to win it because there might  win a big lot of chocolate.

Paper cups

   

                                                                                    Today we made some cups out of paper.Here are the steps and you wall need a piece of strong paper about 20 cm    5 quare and get some scissors and a ruler.

1. fold the paper in  half to make a triangle

2. fold the corner across to touch the opposite side of the triangle

3. fold corner b over corner a so that the top edges of the two flaps meet.

4. fold c towards you along the dotted line and tuck it inside the flap of b.

5. turn the paper over and fold d down.

6. open up your paper  cup and try it out. cheers

Tanemahuta art

 

                                                                                                                              yesterday we did some art.we did Tanemahuta for our art.here are the steps to make it.

1. get a piece of paper and write your name on the back.

2. get cold colour pastels.

3. you can do any type of shape animals flowers and make sure they are not to big or there will only be one colour you need to do them sort of thin.

4. cover it in  black paint and don't make the black paint to thick and it doesn't matter if you can see a little bit of colour.

5. then let it dry and a sunny spot.

6. then you need to plan out what you are going to draw are drawing Tanemahuta but you can choose anything if you want to.

6. when it's dry you need to get a toothpick and look at your design what you made and then try to sketch it out and then I will come out with different colours.                                             

A clever way of storing food

on Monday we did a book about how to store food with out fridges and all the modern things and was about TT and they stored the food in seaweed stuff and after we read the story we had to go through the story and say what the questions were and write it down in a Google slide.

Dogs and cats

last week we did a writing about cats and dogs and we had to choose which one we like the best and I chose a dog because they are funny and play full and also good at moving cows in to the paddocks and I have three dogs of my own.

Picasso

  That day we did Picasso and we stared of with by drawing a circle then  cutting the piece of paper out.Then we had to draw the face and the neck.Then we drone with pistols and then we used die to make it stand-out after we did that we let it dry and when it was dry we went it over 

with sharpie.
